Brian has been doing so many great things in 2012 for the city of Chicago, from helping raise over $100K at Medinah Patriot Day to creating prostate cancer awareness in his run for the Sausage King of Chicago.

His philosophy in growing our Chicago marketing and public relations company is by always giving back to the community that he works, lives, and loves.

Tonight we will be sharing Brian’s birthday celebration in downtown Chicago from 6pm to 2am starting at the Rockit Bar & Grill and closing out the evening at The Joynt.

We had perfect weather at the Medinah Country Club, and as you head onto the historic grounds you can already feel the energy of the upcoming Ryder Cup 2012. The Country club is plush, and we were all welcomed with open arms by the Medinah staff.

First and foremost, thank you to Mark Slaby for making all of this possible with the Illinois Patriot Education Fund. It is his vision and hard work that has turned Medinah Patriot Day into a reality, and it is helping so many Illinois veterans and their families.

The event was kicked off with Chicago Blackhawks singer Jim Cornelison blasting out the National Anthem through his super hero like vocal pipes. It filled the air with patriotic pride as the crowd cheered and clapped throughout the entire performance! So many thanks to Jim for all that he does.

The guest of honor was General Raymond T. Odierno, the 38th Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, who was there to hand out the Illinois Patriot Education Fund scholarship recipient awards. We would like to thank the General and his staff for being so gracious with their time.

We would like to thank the members of the media who attended and covered the event. Thank you Comcast SportsNet Chicago, WGN TV, ABC 7, WLS-AM 890 and AM 560 WIND.

Brian Tomkins and Amplibuzz co-founder Harrison Painter were honored to be able to sit down and interview Tom’s father Zig Ziglar in 2010, and it was an experience they both cherish greatly.

It was also the first time they both met Tom Ziglar, and it sparked a great friendship. Tom carries on the Ziglar tradition and creates massive value for everyone around him, proving the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. This campaign is designed to help spread awareness and raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation too!

So how does this work?

You can visit the Sausage King of Chicago website and cast your vote for who you want to hail as King by making a small donation. The contestant who raises the most money will be crowned as the 2012 Sausage King of Chicago!

Votes can be cast up to June 1, 2012, the night before the kick-off of SausageFest Chicago, happening on June 2nd and 3rd between Noon and 10:00pm. The event is right next to historic Wrigley Field on Sheffield Ave, and there is a ton of activities and entertainment for you to enjoy over the weekend.
